New Patients at Linn Family Dental in Abilene
Welcome to our practice! Make yourself comfortable, we won’t keep you waiting long.
We ask that our online forms be printed out and completed prior to the first visit. If unable to complete them before, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the appointment.
Please remember to bring ID and any insurance cards. If there are prior X-rays or dental records available, please bring those as well. Insurance verification will be done prior to the visit whenever possible.
The Initial Appointment
When you arrive at our practice, you’ll be greeted by our friendly front desk employees. They will ask about your paperwork and, if not already done, provide the forms that must be completed before proceeding.
After that’s done, you will be directed to sit in our waiting room for a few minutes. We do our best to respect your time by staying on schedule as much as possible.
Our assistant will bring you in to have a full set of X-rays done, and chart any current restorations before the doctor comes into the room. Our standard of care is to have a full mouth series of x-rays in every chart. We don’t take full X-rays on subsequent visits.
Then, our dentist reviews your X-rays and will discuss their findings with you. A treatment plan is formulated and printed out for your convenience, with cost estimates included. Then, you’ll return to the front desk to schedule any future appointments before leaving.
